Poe

Poe is Quora's app for chatting with many AI models in one place, including GPT-6 Astra, Claude Opus 5.5, Gemini 4 Argon and Grok 4.7. It is free with daily points; subscriptions give more points, priced by Poe at about $30 per million points.

Poe is an app from Quora that puts many companies' AI models in one chat window: on Nov 6, 2026 its home page named GPT-6-Astra, Claude-Opus-5.5, Claude-Fable-5.1, Gemini-4-Argon and Grok-4.7 among "thousands of others", including image, video and voice models and bots made by users. It is free with a daily allowance of points; a subscription gives more points and access to the most advanced bots, and Poe values points at $30 per million.

Poe suits people who want to try or switch between models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and others without paying for each. Its trade-off is the points system: every message costs points that vary by model, so heavy use of top models drains a plan fast. If you use one assistant all day, a direct plan from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini gives more for the money and the maker's own features. Perplexity and OpenRouter are the other multi-model options. How points work

Every bot on Poe costs points per message: a fixed price per image, for example, or a variable amount depending on how much text it reads and writes. Each bot shows its rate before you send. Free users get points every day, which reset each 24 hours and do not roll over. Subscribers get more points, daily and/or monthly depending on the plan, and can buy add-on points that last a year. You can set a per-message budget so an expensive bot warns you first, and an auto-manage context setting sends less of a long chat to save points. Source: Poe FAQs, updated Oct 12, 2026.

Plans and prices

Poe sells monthly and yearly subscriptions on its website and through Apple and Google, with the widest range of plans on the website, per the Purchases FAQ. Poe does not publish plan prices on its public pages; they appear after you sign in and click "Get more points", and can differ by platform and country. What subscribers get:

Benefit Details
More points Granted daily and/or monthly, by plan; unused points do not roll over
Exclusive bots Access to the most advanced bots, such as video models from Runway, Luma and Pika
Full context Up to 2 million tokens, depending on the model
Add-on points Buy extra points that last one year
Shared plans Some plans let you share points with family, friends or a team

Features

Many models, one chat. Poe offers bots from the major labs alongside image generators such as Ideogram and Flux, video models from Runway, Luma, Pika and Hailuo, and audio from ElevenLabs and Cartesia, per the Purchases FAQ.

User-made bots. Anyone can build bots on top of other models, with custom prompts, interactive canvases and code, and creators can earn money through Poe's creator monetization program.

Group chats. Poe lets you chat with AI privately or in a group chat with other people, as its home page says.

API. Developers can call Poe's bots with a Poe API key, paid for with points.

Privacy and data

Poe routes your messages to the companies that run each model, so each conversation is also handled by that model's maker under Poe's terms. Read Poe's privacy policy before sharing sensitive material, and compare with AI Privacy Compared.

Poe vs the alternatives

Perplexity also lets you choose between labs' models, built around cited web search, at a fixed monthly price instead of points. OpenRouter is the developer equivalent: one API key, pay per token for hundreds of models. ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini give the full feature set of one maker, such as memory, agents and coding tools, that Poe does not replicate. Pick Poe to sample many models cheaply, or to use image and video models without separate subscriptions.
